WAYNE C.COOPER

Dr. Wayne C. Cooper, originally from Tampa Bay, Florida, is the fourth of six children. With eleven years of dedicated service in the U.S. Army, Dr. Cooper was honorably discharged in 1989, a testament to his commitment and discipline. Later, he embraced his calling to Christian ministry, leading him to seek higher education at several esteemed institutions. In May 2024, he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in La Mirada, California. Dr. Cooper and his family have thrived in Southern California, enriching their community for the past three decades. His extensive travels across Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and North America have broadened his perspective and deepened his understanding, enhancing his ability to inspire and lead.

01 Chapter

This chapter begins with explaining how slavery, segregation, and systematic oppression have impacted the collected psyche of Black men in America. Their remarkable resilience despite the struggles, from Underground railroad to Civil Rights Movement, and their continuous fight for identity, healing and empowerment.

02 Chapter

Continuing the theme of historical traumas, Dr. Wayne explains how the vast history of systemic racism and negative stereotypes continue to impact Black men in terms of societal expectations and self-perception in the modern world. Grounding his reasoning in theory, Dr. Wayne explains how these stereotypes lead to imposter syndromes and racial anxiety among Black men.
